Sales Manager
State College,
PA
The Sales
Manager is the supervisor of the daily activities of the Sales and
Marketing department in the State College facility. In addition, the
Sales Manager drives the market pricing and marketing plan for the
electronic products, with direction from, the Facility General
Manager, the Controller, and Manager. Providing technical sales
support to both internal and external customers in order to assist
the sales process is critical to this position. Other job
requirements include selling and promoting our products from our
sales office or at customer sites. The Sales Manager's role is
fulfilled by performing the duties outlined in section II.
Essential Duties
and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises the daily activities of the Sales and Marketing
department in the State College Facility. 2. Maintains regional
and/or specific account responsibility. 3. Develops and provides
employee reviews. 4. Disciplines and rewards employees as required.
5. Ensures that all correspondence within and external to the
facility is professional and represents our company in the best
possible manner ways. 6. Helps to develop and maintain product
pricing and the Market Plan for the electronic products. 7. Is
responsible for the technical preparation of quotations and
proposals to be submitted to customers, and prepares this material
as needed to support the specific accounts under his or her control.
8. Prepares 'Tables of Compliance' as needed, working with the
Engineering Dept to complete bids and/or proposals. 9. Key
point-of-contact between the Sales Dept. and the Engineering Dept
with regard to technical issues concerning bid and proposal efforts.
10. Prepares product specific applications material to be used by
the sales teams. 11. Ensures product data sheets are current and
posted on the website. 12. Gathers marketing and competitive data
via customer feedback and Internet investigation, and compiles the
information in a useful format. 13. Provides product training as
required to internal and external sales teams as well as external
customers. 14. Generates product-training materials as required to
enhance the sales. 15. Prepares product quotes for submission to
customer and lists pertinent information to include, options,
recommended sparing, estimated delivery, and payment terms.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; with
five or more years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
