Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Write test plans from product requirement and design specification documents
• Design and integrate complex testbeds for black box model testing
• Conduct system and regression level testing
• Validate the go / no go decision prior to release deployment
• Interface with software engineers to track bug resolution
• Automate regression tests whenever possible
• Design and implement new software modules for our network simulation
• Participate in technical and design discussion

Mandatory Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Networking, Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong technical written and verbal communication in English
• Strong IP networking and routing protocol fundamentals (OSPF, BGP, SSM, MPLS, MP-BGP VPN)
• In-depth knowledge of one or more scripting languages (TCL/TK, Expect, Linux Shell

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience using Linux / Unix
• Experience with IP network simulation technologies
• Experience with IP Network testing tools (Ixia, Ethereal, etc)
• Experience with automation of User Interface testing
• Experience with voice or video over IP applications
• Experience with Network Management solutions
• Experience with small software development tasks in C, C++ or Java
