    Position Description

Manufacturing Engineer / Tinkerer / Renaissance Engineer

Our client is a small, well established, specialty manufacturer in the NE Philadelphia area. Their highly customized, low volume mechanical products are engineered to customer specifications, and are manufactured out of metals, plastics, or fabric materials.   This individual will have multi-disciplinary responsibilities including product development, manufacturing engineering, product and labor costing, machine programming (CAD/CAM/CNC/NC), materials selection, capital projects and improvements, etc.   The company offers a flexible, family-oriented environment with competitive compensation.

Due to a planned retirement, this is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned engineer seeking to go to work for their last employer! With strong employer/employee loyalty, this ‘old school’ organization enjoys extraordinarily low turnover.

    ·          Lead product manufacturability initiatives and product development procedures.

    Requirements:

    ·          20+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

    ·          Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
