Position Description

Coating Operator - 2nd and 3rd Shift

A manufacturing position involving the set up and operation of multiple coating lines by performing the following duties:

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

  • Show mechanical aptitude to change gears in the winder machines.

  • Perform the physical requirements of standing for long periods of time.

  • Demonstrate mathematical skills.

  • Possess a strong work ethic and have strong work values.

  • Exhibit teamwork with objectivity and openness to others' views.

  • Perform routine duties with minimal supervision.

  • Communicate all issues, concerns, and needs to respective leads and/or shift supervisors.

  • Begin work on scheduled time, schedule time off in advance, and keep absences within company guidelines.

  • Identify problems and displays a willingness to make decisions based upon their training within the department.

  • Provides in-process adjustments to winders to ensure quality while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Comprehend and complete the paperwork (specifications) for their designated area.

  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while keeping their work area neat and organized.

  • Access the basic company computer programs such as vacation scheduling system, specification system, and the batch number system.

Training is provided by Company.

 

Education and/or Experience                                               

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
